Cancer Surgery Broadcast Live in Virtual Reality

BBC News has an interesting report on the use of technology in helping students to study operation techniques. The report follows a patient undergoing surgery for colon cancer at the Royal London Hospital, who had his operation streamed live online, using 360-degree virtual reality video.

It is believed to be a world first, and doctors believe it could revolutionise medical training around the world.
