Google’s DeepMind to apply machine learning technology to NHS within the next five years
Artificial intelligence (AI) has come a long way over the past few years. Machine learning has shown to rival that of the best of people in complex strategy thinking puzzles and now Google wish to use this technology for practical applications.
Having already worked with Imperial College London and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust earlier this year, Google’s AI company DeepMind Technologies now wish to apply their machine learning technology to NHS patient data and suggests that the parties picture a “broad ranging, mutually beneficial partnership, engaging in high levels of collaborative activity and maximising the potential to work on genuinely innovative and transformational projects.”
