NHS England Selects 8 Projects for Second Tranche of Healthcare Innovators

Eight new healthcare innovators have been selected by NHS England to join the NHS Innovation Accelerator Scheme. The programme supports local innovations to be adopted across the health service. The scheme is part of the NHS’s Five Year Forward View strategy, focusing on challenges around prevention, early intervention and long-term condition management in healthcare.

The eight new products are:

  1. Sore Throat Test and Treat, a walk-in community pharmacy service; EpSMon, an epilepsy self-management tool
  2. EpSMon, an epilepsy self-management tool
  3. Serenity Integrated Mentoring, a collaborative model of care scheme
  4. DrDoctor, an online and text-based service that allows patients to confirm, cancel, and change bookings digitally
  5. OBH Outcomes Platform, which enables commissioners and providers to identify baselines for their selected outcomes, set improvement trajectories and monitor outcomes specific to their local populations
  6. Coordinate My Care, a web-based IT platform enabling digital, multidisciplinary urgent care planning for end of life care
  7. ArtemusICS, a data driven population health intelligence platform
  8. and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery + (ERAS+), which works to reduce the risk of post-operative pulmonary complication
