Sustainability and Transformation Plans Need £10bn to Transform Care

An independent report written for the Department of Health has revealed that a total of £10bn is required to properly fund England’s sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) and maintain health facilities in the future.

The National Health Executive has reported that Sir Robert Naylor, former CEO of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, warned in the report, that without actual new investment in the NHS estate, there is little chance that STPs will be delivered, as facilities would remain as unfit for purpose.
