NHS Partnership to Develop Artificial Intelligence to Enable Efficient Cancer Detection

Intel is working in partnership with the NHS to develop artificial intelligence technology that will enable cancer detection to become more efficient. Last week, the University of Warwick, University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) alongside Intel explained that the new collaboration between the groups will push forward the classification of cancer cells “more efficiently and accurately through ground-breaking artificial intelligence.

The aim is to create a digital database of known tumor and immune cells based on thousands of human tissue cells, which can then be used by algorithms to recognize these cells automatically.
