Spanish Regions Criticise State Budget

Spain’s Autonomous Communities (CCAAs) have criticised the state budget project, presented by the Ministry of Finance. Regions were hoping for improvements which have been instead been replaced by worsening budget constraints and a cut in investment, stated Emiliano García Page from Castilla-La Mancha.

“They do not comply with the Statute of Autonomy, by allocating to Andalusia 390.8 million euros less of investments”, said the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero as investments in Andalusia fell by 36.6% with €668m less than in the previous year.

Not all communities were opposed to the new budget, for example Extremadura where the investment grows considerable.
