BEIS inquiry launched into the implications of Brexit for British business

The BEIS select committee has launched an inquiry into the implications of Brexit for British business, in which it aim to establish how the interests of different sectors should best be pursued both in the negotiating process and post-Brexit, by examining a range of issues relating to market access, non-tariff barriers, regulation, skills, R&D, trade opportunities and transitional arrangements.

The sectors being examined by the Committee are:

  • Civil nuclear sector (including Euratom)
  • Automotive
  • Aerospace
  • Processed food and drink
  • Pharmaceuticals

No dates for evidence sessions have yet been announced, but the deadline for written submissions regarding the Pharmaceutical sector is Tuesday 7 November 2017.
