Amsterdam announced as new EMA home

Amsterdam in the Netherlands has been announced as the new location for the European Medicines Agency (EMA), following an assessment of the 19 offers submitted by Member States at the end of July 2017. EMA now has just over 16 months to prepare for the move and take up its operations in Amsterdam by 30 March 2019, in time for the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the EU.

Further details of the Dutch bid can be found on the bid’s official website.
