The National Audit Office issues report on the Department for International Trade Brexit preparations

The National Audit Office (NAO) has published a report detailing the measures being taken to ensure the Department of International Trade (DIT) is prepared for withdrawal from the EU. The DIT was formed in 2016 with the task of negotiating trade and market access agreements with non-EU countries as well as promoting British trade. The report titled ‘Implementing the UK’s Exit from the European Union: The Department for International Trade’ includes progress made so far to “establish the best trading framework for the UK to maximise trade and investment after the UK leaves.”
