NHS Digital invites developers to submit applications to the NHS Apps Library

NHS Digital and NHS England are inviting developers to submit applications to enhance the NHS Apps Library. Its aim is to be the “Go-to” place for effective digital tools for patients.

Currently a public beta environment, the Apps Library assists patients in navigating the myriad of trusted digital healthcare tools for patients to manage their health and well-being.

NHS Digital recently appointed Our Mobile Health to evaluate digital healthcare apps on the NHS Apps Library. Our Mobile Health works with NHS Digital to ensure NHS technical, clinical and safety standards are met. It also ensures patients are connected effectively and easily to required information and services.

Hazel Jones, Programme Director at NHS Digital said “This agreement with Our Mobile Health is part of our ongoing commitment to setting national standards and helping patients and citizens better manage their health. Patients can be confident that the apps they are using are safe and trusted. We are looking forward to working with Our Mobile Health in developing that process”.
