PHE reports concerning cardiovascular data

Public Health England (PHE) has released information from an online exercise which highlight the risks posed by cardiovascular disease.

PHE’s online Heart Age Test was launched in February, and assesses various health information provided to estimate heart health (represented in terms of an equivalent ‘age’).

The test has now accumulated over 1.9 million responses, and 78% of people are reported to have a heart health worse than would be expected for their age, with 34% five years higher, and 14% ten years above their true age.

The Heart Age Test will be available until the end of the month.
