Ireland to join European clinical trials network

The Irish Minister for Health, Simon Harris T.D, has secured Cabinet approval for Ireland to become a member of the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN).

ECRIN is a non-profit organisation that enhances collaboration between scientific partners from Europe for multinational clinical research.

Minister Harris has shared that joining ECRIN is a,

“positive development for the health research community and it enhances Ireland’s reputation as a place to conduct industry trials. This will drive change and improve patient outcomes but also advance innovation, productivity and competitiveness.”
