EU launches project to bring innovative digital tools to patients

The EU has launched a project called Gravitate-Health, which focuses on digital health innovation as a way of strengthening the understanding of health-related issues among European citizens.

The principal aim of Gravitate-Health is to encourage a safer use of medicines, to minimise risk and to increase the quality-of-life of European citizens. The project is funded from the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), and comprises 40 members from 15 countries working in both academia and industry. These members will work together to develop new, innovative tools to share health-related information that is focussed on the patient. These tools will offer access to reliable and relevant information about medicines and treatments.
