Consultations open for EC legislative proposals

The European Commission (EC) has launched three consultations on regulations in the area of health, all open until February 2021.

The proposals are entitled:

  • Proposal for a Regulation establishing a European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)
  • Proposal for a Regulation on a Union framework addressing public health emergencies (EMA)
  • Proposal for a Regulation on serious cross-border threats to health

Together, the three initiatives are hoped to enable faster pan-European responses to pandemics and other public health crises. They represent a forward-looking response to COVID-19.

Responses are invited in the form of a 4,000 free text submission, with an optional 5mb paper upload if needed.
