Kings Fund event on how the healthcare system works and how it is changing

Thursday 08 August, 2019 starting at 09:00-17:00

The King's Fund, Cavendish Square, London, UK

The King’s Fund is running a ‘jargon-free’ explainer event, called ‘Health and care explained’, aiming to provide an intuitive look at health and social care.

The organisers say:

“At this event we will explain:

  • how the NHS, social care and public health are structured and work with each other
  • how the health and social care systems are staffed, funded and held accountable
  • the differences between hospitals, primary care, community care and mental health
  • the challenges for the future of health care and current plans to address them”
